IMPACT

Still Kickin started in 2015 when our founders teamed up to provide unrestricted financial grants to good people going through hard things. In the beginning, we were able to provide one grant per month through sales of the original Still Kickin t-shirt.

Today, Still Kickin builds empathy, encouragement and economic relief for people in need. Our nonprofit organization is funded by outside grants and community donations. In addition, proceeds from our benefit corporation are allocated specifically to the nonprofit to support our Heroes and other grant recipients.

Our GRANTS

Our nonprofit organization's unrestricted financial grants provide direct economic relief for people who are going through challenging times. Our monthly Hero grant has grown year-over-year in dollar amount, and in recent years our nonprofit has added smaller, on-demand grants for more immediate and urgent needs as they’re brought to our attention.

Our nonprofit organization's monthly grants have increased five-fold in dollar amount since 2015.

Year 1 = $1,000 per grant

Year 5 = $5,000 per grant

Since 2015, the nonprofit has given away more than

$217,000

in monthly Hero and micro grants

As of April 2020, Still Kickin has helped

72

Individuals, families and other nonprofits doing important work in their communities

Our nonprofit's grant recipients are awesome people going through awful things. People like:

Sara Guerts

a body positivity model with a rare genetic disease called Ehlers Danlos Syndrome in need of life-saving spinal surgery

Ijeoma Uzoho

a woman whose pregnancy loss resulted in a sepsis infection, which led to severe kidney injury and the search for a donor

Andy McBride

a father of two on a long road to recovery after a severe case of West Nile encephalitis

The Bredin siblings

orphaned as young adults after losing their dad to suicide and mom to substance abuse complications

Tessie Sylvester

diagnosed with cancer the same day (like, literally an hour after) her husband died from ALS

OUR E-COURSES

Still Kickin's self-paced e-courses are designed to build empathy and encouragement and help people move forward in their lives. We have courses to help individuals work through their grief, let go of their resentments and shoulds, and support others dealing with loss, with additional coursework currently in development.

OUR Events

Our events offer unique ways for the Still Kickin community to show up and support each other. Whether online or in real life, we provide a space for people to be their authentic, vulnerable selves and talk about how they are really feeling — because the answer isn’t always just “fine.’
